Logistics and documentation
Freight, customs and paperwork run as one workflow. The document set leaves complete, because a container held at the destination for a missing certificate costs more than the freight.
What we handle
To the port and through the paperwork
- FOB and CIF quoted with the document set named
- Certificate of origin, bill of lading, packing list, commercial invoice
- Phytosanitary and fumigation certificates where required
- Customs clearance at origin
- Freight and insurance arranged on CIF terms
Most demurrage is caused by paperwork, not by ships. A certificate that was never requested, an origin document naming the wrong entity, a packing list that does not reconcile with the invoice. Each one is avoidable at origin and expensive at destination.
We issue the set complete and check it against the booking before the container is gated in. Where the destination requires something unusual, we want to know at enquiry stage.
Trade terms
What each term covers
| FOB | We deliver the goods loaded on board at the Indonesian port of departure. Freight and insurance from that point are arranged by the buyer. |
| CIF | We arrange and pay freight and insurance to the destination port named in the contract. Common where buyers prefer origin side coordination. |
| Documents | Certificate of origin, bill of lading, packing list and commercial invoice as standard, issued as one set. |
| Additional | Phytosanitary, fumigation and inspection certificates added where the destination market requires them. |
| Ports | Container movement through the main Java ports, with routing confirmed at booking. |
