Advice from people who move goods for a living, engaged on its own terms without an order attached.

The premise

Advice from an operator, not an observer

  • Taken on its own, with no trading relationship required
  • Quoted as defined work with a deliverable and a date
  • Registered under management and business support classifications
  • Referred onward where a matter needs a licensed lawyer or notary

Most trade advice is written by people who have never had a container held at a destination port for a certificate nobody requested at origin. Ours is written by people who have, and who learned the answer the expensive way.

The practice exists because buyers and new entrants kept asking the same questions during trade conversations: which licence covers this activity, what will the destination market demand on paper, how should terms be structured so payment and delivery line up. Answering those properly is a piece of work, so it is sold as one.

What we advise on

Four Areas of Work

01

Market Entry

What it takes to sell into or buy out of Indonesia: the entity structure, the classifications that cover the intended activity, the licensing sequence and what each stage realistically takes.

02

Licensing and Classification

Matching an intended business activity to the right KBLI codes before an application is filed, so the NIB covers what the business actually plans to do rather than what was guessed at incorporation.

03

Trade Documentation and Terms

Which documents a destination market will demand, how FOB and CIF change where risk sits, and how to write terms so payment, inspection and delivery are sequenced sensibly.

04

Operational Structure

How sourcing, quality and logistics should be arranged so nothing falls between them, which is the problem we designed our own business around.

How an engagement runs

Four Stages

01

Scoping Call

You describe the decision you are facing. We tell you whether it is something we can help with, and where it needs a licensed professional instead.

02

Written Scope

A defined piece of work with a deliverable, a fee and a date. Nothing starts before you have that in writing.

03

The Work

Research, document review, classification mapping or structural design, depending on the scope. Questions get answered as they arise rather than saved for the end.

04

Handover

A written deliverable you can act on and circulate internally, with a call to walk through it and answer what it raises.

What this is not. This is commercial and operational advice, not legal advice, tax advice or notarial service. Where a matter requires an advocate, a notary or a licensed tax consultant, we say so and will introduce you rather than take work we are not licensed to do.

Buyer questions

Questions About Engagements

How are engagements priced?
As defined work with a fee and a date, not an open hourly arrangement. You see the scope and the number before anything starts.
Can you file our licensing applications for us?
We map the activity to the correct classifications and prepare what the filing needs. The filing itself sits with you or with a licensed agent, and we will introduce one.
Do you advise companies that compete with your trading side?
Yes, and we will tell you at the scoping call if a conflict exists so you can decide. We would rather lose the engagement than manage a conflict quietly.
Is there a minimum engagement?
No fixed floor. A single scoping question answered properly is a legitimate piece of work and is quoted as one.

Start with the Question

Describe the decision in front of you. If it is not ours to answer, we will say so and point you at who should.
